500 g ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 egg
100 g bread crumbs
200 g Greek yogurt
1 cucumber, grated
1 clove garlic, minced (for Tsatsiki)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, egg, and bread crumbs. Mix well and shape into small balls.
Place the meatballs on a baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through.
For the Tsatsiki, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and dill in a bowl. Mix well and refrigerate until serving.
Serve the meatballs warm with Tsatsiki on the side.
Notes
For a spicier version, add chili flakes to the meat mixture.
Serve with pita bread or a Greek salad for a complete meal.
